FAQ
Questions, answered.
For members
What is Kindr?+
Kindr lets two neighboring small businesses — a café and a bakery, a salon and a nail studio, a gym and a smoothie bar — sell one shared monthly membership. You sign up once, pay once, and use both.
Do I need to sign up at each business too?+
No. Your Kindr account is your membership at both. Just show your Kindr QR code at either front desk.
How do perks work?+
Each bundle lists what you get at each business — unlimited, or a set number per month (drinks, classes, services, visits). Counts reset at the start of every billing month and don't roll over.
How do I book appointments?+
If a business takes bookings, use its own booking link, shown in your Kindr app. Walk-in businesses just scan your QR code.
Can I pause or cancel?+
Yes, anytime, from your phone. Pausing stops billing until you resume. Cancelling keeps your access until the end of the month you've paid for.
What if my payment fails?+
We retry automatically and let you know. Access pauses until the card is updated, which you can do in the app.
Is my agreement shared?+
One signed agreement and waiver covers Kindr and both businesses in your bundle. You and both businesses get a signed PDF copy.
How do I delete my account?+
In the app: My membership → Account settings → Delete my account. It ends your membership and removes your personal details.
For businesses
What does it cost?+
Nothing up front. Kindr takes a platform fee from each membership payment (shown when you build a bundle); it covers card processing.
How and when do we get paid?+
Every time a member's monthly payment succeeds, your share is sent to your bank through Stripe. Reports in your dashboard show every payout.
Do we need new hardware or software?+
No. Front-desk staff use Kindr on any phone or tablet. New members can also be pushed into your existing system via webhook or Zapier.
Who handles refunds and chargebacks?+
Kindr is the seller of record and handles billing disputes. Your Partner Agreement covers the details.
What kinds of businesses can join?+
Any small business whose customers overlap with a neighbor's — cafés, bakeries, salons, studios, gyms, shops, pet services and more.
Can we choose our partner?+
Yes — you invite the business you want to bundle with, and both of you approve the price, split and entitlements before it goes live.
